Amour Amour

By Meaghan Hillier

Up and coming musicians, Jessica Chauvin and Sara Botton of Windsor, Ontario are Amour Amour, and at first listen to the duo you will melt with love for their sound.  The girls perform with just the two of their voices, and two pianos.  They aren't your traditional rock band or acoustic musicians, these girls praise themselves on their talented and lovely pianistic, and  vocal skills.  Their sound proves to be extremely classical yet fresh.  Their original lyrics, stage presence and fast, intense keyboarding makes the two girls anything but your typical pianists. It's so refreshing to experience such a different type of indie band and see musicians especially in South Western Ontario not afraid of trying something out of the ordinary.  Influences ranging from Paramore, Sufjan Stevans and Something Corporate provide them with such inspiration for quite the mash up of instrumentals and lyrics.  The opportunity to experience Amour Amour is just around the corner when the two play a show at The Sanctuary Coffee Lounge in Windsor, Ontario on June 28, 2008.
